Melinda, Practice Manager
Melinda has been employed at the Animal Hospital since 2005. Melinda enjoys spending time with her family, playing with Haylee, the family's dog, knitting and crocheting as well as outdoor activities. Melinda is a very outgoing person who always shows her concerns and care for all the clients of the animal hospital. She finds great satisfaction in helping people as well as their beloved pets by keeping their best interest at heart.




Cindy, Reception
Cindy joined us in 2007 as a full time receptionist. She resides in Poland with her husband Gary, her Corgi Shasta and her two cats Candy and Calli. A lot of Cindy’s spare time is spent up to “camp” where they enjoy four wheeling, fly fishing, crocheting and reading.




 


Denise, Reception
Denise was born and raised in Auburn, Maine with her three sisters and is a graduate of Edward Little High School. She attended the University of Maine and earned her Associates Degree as a Medical Secretary from Mid State Business School, and her Certified Nursing Assistance Certification from CMMC School of Nursing.

Denise has worked at Sun Journal in Lewiston as a Recruitment Specialist/Inside Sales Representative. She co-owned and helped run Maine Art Glass Studio with her husband and partner and most recently worked at the Hospice House in Auburn as a Certified Hospice Palliative Nursing Assistant.

In addition Denise has led an active life outside of work, earning numerous ribbons at the county fairs, visiting Romania on Christian Mission and volunteering at The Wrinkle In Thyme Farm In Sumner, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, and the Dempsey Challenge. Her interests include spinning, knitting, photography, gardening, singing, and folk art painting, and lives in Poland, Maine with her husband Nel of thirty years (30) and their golden retriever, Ben.

Stacy, Reception
Stacy joined the Lisbon Road Animal Hospital in the summer of 2015. She resides in Sabattus with her two children, Kaelyn and Ryan, her boxer Bailey and cat Jasper.  Stacy has a passion for photography and keeps busy behind her camera shooting clients and family members. She enjoys hiking, visiting the beach and exploring all that Maine has to offer.  You can find her jumping in the truck every weekend with her kids and heading for a new adventure! 

 




Ashley, Reception

Ashley was a hairdresser for 8 years before joining us as a receptionist in September 2017. She lives in Sabattus with her husband, Zak, and their dog, Bentley. Ashley enjoys traveling as often as possible. In her free time during the warmer months she likes to take Bentley hiking or swimming.







Christine D. - LVT

Chris joined the Lisbon Road Animal Hospital family in 1994. As an integral member of the team, her duties extend into all aspects of providing the best possible care for each and every patient. Whether assisting the doctors or counseling an owner on at home care, her patients needs always come first. Chris's main hobby and passion in life is her dogs! In her off work time, Chris can be found training her own dogs, helping others work through training issues with their dogs, traveling all over the US and Canada competing with her dogs or sitting in the whelping box with her next champion. Specializing in performance events such as agility, tracking, competitive obedience and water trials has led Chris to a great understanding and appreciation of the importance of proper conditioning and the role this plays in recovery and overall well being. The desire to help our companions really get the most out of every day of their lives, led Chris to specialize in animal physical rehabilitation and conditioning. Education has been an ongoing process for Chris. She is currently enrolled in the long distance Bachelor of Science degree program through San Juan College as well as in the Fast Track Canine Rehabilitation Program through the University of Tennessee Veterinary Department. Chris is currently Nationally Certified as a Veterinary Technician and upon completion of the UT program she will be a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner. Chris resides in Bowdoinham with her husband Steve, their French Bulldog named Kermit and an assortment of Portuguese Water Dogs!



Christine J. - LVT

Christine graduated from the Veterinary Technical Program at the University of Maine. She began working at the Lisbon Road Animal Hospital immediately after graduating and stayed with us until moving to North Carolina. After five years she returned to Maine to continue her employment with us. Christine currently resides in Lewiston with her husband, son, three dogs and two cats.







Ashley joined our family in April of 2011 and along with the technical skills she brings to our practice she also has developed a strong interest in physical therapy and laser treatment. Ashley has a wide variety of pets ranging from three Boston Terriers, a Pit Bull mix, two ferrets, two Chinchillas and most recently "Harry" the new kitten. In her free time she enjoys walking with her dogs, gardening, snowmobiling and spending time with her grandparents.






Careena
grew up in Maine and has lived here her entire life. She attended three years of Health Science at the Lewiston Regional Technical Center, and was a member of the National Technical Honors Society. Careena also completed an online education course for Veterinary Assisting through the University at Bath/Brunswick. She has always had a passion and a drive to care for animals and work in the field of veterinary medicine. As a technician at Lisbon Road Animal Hospital, Careena will contribute to the care and wellbeing of all animals, and she feels that it is a very rewarding experience each and every day. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, kayaking, camping, scrapbooking, and nature.



Chelsea
has been working at Lisbon Road Animal Hospital since April of 2012 as a receptionist and has been training on the job to become a technician. She is currently doing an online program to become licensed as a veterinarian technician in the state of Maine. Chelsea came to the practice with a passion for animals and eager to please their owners.


Chelsea spends a lot of her free time with her family, boyfriend, and two cats Willy and Stanley. During the summer months she enjoys hiking and spending time at camp. In the cold winter months you can find her curled up next to the wood stove.



Sarah has been employed with us since May 2013. She was born in Minot, Maine where she was raised on her family's dairy farm. Sarah has ten years of previous animal experience. She worked at the Taylor Brook Animal Hospital from 2003 to 2009 and at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society from 2009 to 2013. She currently resides in Auburn, Maine and is the owner of two Dachshunds, Virgil & Morgan as well as two cats, Gregory & Miles. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with friends & family, camping, four wheeling & going to the ocean.

Leslie L. - LVT

Leslie is one of our Licensed Veterinary Technicians, and has been with us since April of 2013. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Animal Science in May of 2004, and has many years of experience. She lives in Greene with her husband Matt and their two young children, as well as many pets. She has a rat terrier named Atlas and a basenji named Dora, along with 2 cats Hobbes and Gus. In her free time Leslie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, swimming, dancing, music, friends, and the beach.




Kim
is a recent graduate of University of Maine at Augusta where she majored in veterinary technology. She has always loved being around animals and knew early on that a career as a veterinary technician was what she wanted to pursue. While in school she completed four internships, two of which were done here at Lisbon Road Animal Hospital. These internships gave her the skills she needed to start her career as a technician and she then joined the Lisbon Road Animal Hospital team. Currently she has three cats, 1 pug, and 1 rabbit.

 

 

Madison, Veterinary Assistant

Madison has been at LRAH since the fall of 2016. Madison is 19, and is currently enrolled at CMCC in Auburn, ME.  In her free time she loves dog sitting, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. Her immediate goal is to continue her education and become a LVT.






Marcy, Veterinary Technician

Marcy has been a technician since 1985, working her way up from assistant to surgery technician.  She has worked at several animal hospitals in mid-Maine.  Marcy lives on a horse farm and enjoys her own horse Remington and her dogs Jack and Tango. She also enjoys ballroom dancing.

Alexandra, Veterinary Technician
I grew up with a love for animals and knew working with them was something I wanted to do. I especially have a passion of working with wildlife. In my spare time I enjoy going on adventures with my dog, riding my horse or being out on the lake at camp. 




Laura grew up in Harmony and graduated from Foxcroft Academy. Before working at Lisbon Road Animal Hospital, she worked as a technician at Foxcroft Veterinary Services for 4 years. She has 2 beagles; Flicka and Bentley, and a cat; Bumble. Laura lives in Gardiner with her boyfriend, their 2 cats; Jackson & Bonkers, and rabbit; Charlie.





Allison has always had an interest in the field of veterinary medicine, and has found the hands-on duties of a technician very rewarding. She previously cared for animals in the community through the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and is excited to continue that work here at Lisbon Road.

Allison lives in Turner with her dog, Dewey, and her three cats, Theodore, Frankie and Savannah. In her free time she can be found hiking a mountain, curled up on the couch with a book, or drawing.
